Simon North

Simon is Director of Coaching and co-founder of the One Life Partnership. His role is to build the capability of the Partnership through acquiring the best coaches in the world to work with clients who have significant and challenging objectives.

Simon creates with our clients what they wish to achieve from coaching. He also ensures that the way One Life coach is consistent across its deliverer base. He is responsible for the One Life coach community; its learning and its growth.

As every client programme is unique and the goals and outcomes need to be clearly understood, Simon works with our clients to design and development innovative coaching programmes and is then responsible for their programme management.

Simon has worked for Rolls-Royce, Shell International, Price Waterhouse and KPMG and, latterly, a range of smaller businesses. His responsibilities have included operational management, specialist functional roles, primarily in HR, and general management. In recent years, he has worked as a coach, mentor and adviser to a range of large and small businesses.

Simon believes that coaching is a significant, and as yet undervalued, component of success in work and in life more generally. In his coaching, Simon has a lightness of touch. His provocative questioning is balanced by the productive space that he engenders thus allowing a powerful, co creative environment in which his clients can grow.

He experienced world class coaching at a young age in music and in sport and has been pursuing learning and growth in the coaching context all his life. Today, his work is focused on creating the best coaching organisation in the world and finding the best coaches who want to coach in a way that allows their clients to grow and gain.

Simon holds a coaching qualification from the International Coach Federation, a degree from Exeter University and he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Simon lives and works in London and Somerset.

Outside of his work with The One Life Partnership, he is Non Executive Director of an innovative training and consulting company.  Simon is also the founder of Position Ignition, a personal careers advisory service.
